      Abstract
On 28 and 29 November 2017, in Yogyakarta a tropical cyclone occurred which caused a massive wave of disasters in the sea, strong winds, landslides, heavy rain, which caused damage to river, beach, road and settlement infrastructure in all districts and cities in Yogyakarta. Winongo River is one of the rivers affected by tropical cyclone cempaka. This assessment was carried out to identify the infrastructure of the Winongo river after the cempaka Tropical cyclone, in addition to this assessment was also carried out to identify sediment gradations and border distances on the Winongo river. This study uses a direct survey method to the field aimed at identifying the morphological state and border of the river. This research results that there are several infrastructure of the Winongo river that experience various types of damage criteria, but the function of the infrastructure is still well used and the distance of the Winongo river border is not in accordance with government regulations, because from the identification results, many residential settlements are located within the river border. The results of the sediment gradation from the assessment have a random upstream to downstream distribution pattern.
