      Abstract
      On the medical area, hygiene in medical equipment must be maintained. Every instrument in the hospital must be sterile. If the instrument is not sterile, it can be risky to transmit infection when the patient. All medical devices that have direct contact with the patient can be a source of infection. Avoiding one of the effective ways to sterilize health equipment by using an Autoclave tool. Therefore, proposed an Autoclave Modification. Components for automatic disposal. This tool uses a 220 VAC voltage source. The sterilization process is carried out with a maximum temperature of 121C with a maximum pressure of 1.1 bar and steam will be removed using a valve automatically. Tests on this tool are compared with tools for pressure gauges namely a timer measurement manometer compared to a Stopwatch and a sterilization test. In the measurement of the pressure is obtained a correction value of 0.03 Then on a timer measurement for 900 seconds obtained a correction value of 3.3. As for the sterilization trial, the results show that the effective time for sterilization is around 15 minutes-20 minutes. From the results of measurements and sterilization tests it can be concluded that the measurement has a correction value that is not far away and this autoclave modification tool can carry out a sterilization process with an effective time of 15 minutes.
