      Abstract
The increasing number of transportation as the road user requires quality improvement in the road for flexible pavement. Asphalt as the binding material in the flexible pavement is currently developed to be modified with other materials. One of the materials used is latex. It is one of the abundant natural resources in Indonesia. Also, Indonesia becomes the largest producer of rubber in the world. Therefore, they can fulfill the required quality and quantity. Latex is elastic and it can be mixed well with asphalt so that it can improve the quality of road pavement in terms of durability, safety, and comfort. In this research, the Marshall method was used to know the influence of latex toward the characteristic of Asphalt Concrete-Wearing Course (AC-WC) mixture. Based on the result of the test done towards the asphalt content of 5.5% and the latex content in variation of 0%, 3%, 5%, and 7%, it was found that a good latex content that fulfilled the specification was 5% with Density 2.26, VMA 18.92%, VIM 6.90%, VFA 67.69%, Stability 1115.86 kg, Flow 3.17 mm, and MQ 351.59 kg/mm.
