      Abstract
One of the causes of road construction damage is the use of improper aggregate quality on pavement that affects the road structure strength and its forming layers. One of the main components in elastic pavement system is base course. Materials used as the foundation layer must be strong enough so that it can withstand the layer’s load. The strength of the foundation layer can be measured by a portable device namely Light Weight Deflectometer (LWD). This research aims to identify the correlation of parameters resulted from LWD and DPC testing. The testing with LWD was done in 16 points gradually with 2 loads level at each test point. Sensor in the device will receive deflection value resulted from the loads falling to both levels. The parameter result from the testing was then analyzed using product moment correlation to know the strength of the correlation and data validity level. The research findings obtain modulus of elasticity value (E) of 0,9209 between LWD and DPC devices. The correlation of those two devices shows a strong correlation between parameters that is between the intervals of 0,80-1,00.
