This study aims to find out (1) the roles of counselors of PCNA /the chair branch of Aisyah in giving transformative preaching in the community environment of Batur village Banjarnegara district (2) the obstacles faced by the counselors of PCNA in giving transformative preaching in the community environment of Batur village Banjarnegara district (3) the strategies carried out by the counselors of PCNA in giving transformative preaching in the community environment of Batur village Banjarnegara district. This research is a field research which is qualitative descriptive in nature. Qualitative research aims to present the social world and its perspective from the aspects of concept, behavior, perception, and issues on the observed human (Lexy J.Moleong, 2007:6) The results of the research reveal that the counselors’ roles are highly needed in PCNA. The counselors’ roles in transformative preaching are very important for the society of Batur village whose social, cultural, and religious conditions are now developing well. The roles of counselors in transformative preaching of PCNA in Batur village are significantly important since they are not only actively involved in spreading religious knowledge but also being the counselor of the community in Batur village Banjarnegara district. The obstacles faced by the counselors become their motivation in finding more effective strategies to handle the problems. The obstacles commonly faced by the counselors are both external and internal factors. The internal factors are from the counselors themselves and their counselees. It is concluded from the research that the concept of attawazun that is the balance of the counselors’ knowledge in using their applied counselling to the counselees with the Islamic character is the best obtained strategy
