      Abstract
This study aims to determine the role and potential of Kapital Boost on providing alternative financial services to Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) that have difficulty in obtaining access to capital from conventional institutions. This type of research is field research using a descriptive qualitative approach. In collecting data, the techniques used are observation, interviews, and documentation. Researchers used the Miles and Huberman models in analyzing data and SWOT analysis as support to determine the potential of Kapital Boost in fulfilling the capital needs of SMEs. The results showed that Kapital Boost has succeeded in funding SME projects in Indonesia as much as Rp 144.3 T of the total national funding shortage of 659 T. Kapital Boost also has great potential to develop themselves based on SME financing factors that have still not been fulfilled. Another factor is that crowdfunding platforms offer contracts following sharia principles that are relatively rare. Besides that, the rapid development of technology that also occurs in the financial sector, makes people start using alternative financing based on fintech.
