Research on the development and empowerment of community-based self-reliance to increase community food security Dieng in Central Java province is descriptive investigative research to gain an overview of the problems of economic development community, especially regarding food security. The output of this research program and the completion of strategic activities (strategic plan) an integral and comprehensive in order to improve food security and economic empowerment Dieng community. This research method to apply multiple methods of analysis (multi-methods analysis) is by applying several methods that Quotion Loqation method (LQ), SWOT analysis, trend analysis, and analysis of the Economic Empowerment of the agricultural sub-sector. This study has value and strategic objectives as well as provide important information to improve community food security in particular Dieng and underserved communities in Indonesia in general.
