      Abstract
      Background: Based on the annual recap investigative report in 2013, at PKU Muhammadiyah Gamping Hospital of Yogyakarta, it was reported that the patient safety related incident, especially for the falling incident, had a frequency of 3 patients, whereas in 2014, it was reported that the falling incident had a frequency of 4 patients, and whereas in 2017, it was reported that the falling incident had a frequency of 3 patients . Research Purposes: The objectives of this study was to find out knoledge about the fall risk guidelines, find out the nurses ability in the risk reduction guide steps to fall, knowing the compliance of nurses in examining patient medical records, know and see the influence of knowledge, ability to obedience. This research method uses quantitaive methods with descriptive analytical methods. The sampel used in this study were 37 samples. Result: The results of the questionnaire showed that nurses knowledge mostly had sufficient criteria, namely as mush as 59,5%. The results of the medical record review showed that 100% of nurses were obedient, simulation results show that 100% of nurses are able to demonstrate the steps to guide risk falls. There is the influence of knowledge, ability to obedience. Conclusion: The conclusion of this study is that all nurses have compliance and the ability to carry out patient safety, especially regarding the risk of falls, but thier knowledge is still in sufficient category.
