      Abstract
      Malignant soft tissue tumors caused 36 million people died from the non-communicable disease. The incidence of malignant soft tissue tumors in 2016 was around 12.310 cases and 4.990 deaths rates due to malignant soft tissue tumors according to the American Cancer Society. Special Region of Yogyakarta has the highest prevalence for cancer, which is 4.1% (14.596 cases). Men are more dominant in this case with lung tumors, while breast cancer is the most dominant tumor in the female sex. Tumors often appear at vulnerable ages 25-54 years. This study was conducted to determine the relations of patient characteristics with the profile of soft tissue tumor disease in the PKU Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta. Method: The type of this research is a non-experimental descriptive study with a cross sectional retrospective design. The data used are secondary data from medical records from patients that diagnosed with soft tissue tumors at PKU Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta in 2015 – 2018. Statistical analysis used to see the relations between patient characteristics and soft tissue tumor disease profiles. Results: There were differences in the incidence of soft tissue tumor cased at PKU Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (p = 0,000). Incidence increased from 2015 – 2016 and decreased in number from 2016-2018. Most cases of tumors in the age group 18-65 years as many as 53 people (88,3%). Gender category has result that female (58,3%) is more dominant than male (41,7%). The trunk is the most common site for tumors (25 cases). Adipocytic tumors (53,3%) were most dominant in the Histopathology subtype group. Conclusion: There is significant relations between age and histopathological subtypes of soft tissue tumors in PKU Muhammadiyah Hospital of Yogyakarta in 2015 – 2018. The gender and location of the tumor did not have a significant relations with the histophatological subtype.
