      Abstract
      Background: Temporomandibular disorder (TMD) is a collection of symptooms involving jaw joint and muscles in the orofacial region. Patients with TMD often have complain about mandibular motion which include deflection and deviation. One of the etiologies is degenerative factors or aging process which is followed by fibrous tissue formation in the condyle joints, discs, and head. Age classification divided into teenage (17-25 years old), adult (26-45 years old), elderly (46-55 years old). Objective: To know the prevalention of changes in mandibular motion of RSGM UMY patients of teenage, adult, and elderly. Method: Descriptive observational with accidental sampling. The population of this study were RSGM UMY patients and obtained 236 patients that have inclusion criteria. The changes in mandibular motion measured by filming and calculating Results: The results were obtained 187 patients experience changes in mandibular motion and 47 patients have normal mandibular motion. Conclusion: 79,2% of the subjects experience changes in mandibular motion and mostly happen in teenager.
