      Abstract
Residential homes are the main needs of every individual, where these houses are Indonesia’s most dominant building, particularly the walls with red brick products. The strength of a red brick wall is often not taken into consideration when designing a building. In the case of an earthquakes, this creates cracks or collapses on brick walls. Earthquakes are one of the natural phenomena that occurs in Indonesia’s land, which can harm houses and even cause many deaths. This study aims to determine the displacement and stress values of a simple house building using FreeCAD software to create a three-dimensional model and the result of numerical analysis (finite element method) will be provided by LISAFEA. The simple house building used in this research is housing in Padang Sidempuan type 21, 36, 45, and 50 will understand the importance of displacement, voltage, and stress distribution on earthquake direction X and direction Y. The results of this study indicate that in all types the houses is safe in the event of an earthquake, while the voltage is somewhat unsafe, type 36 eith direction Y side C has a value of 7.44 MPa, while in type 45 the direction X side B is 4.81 MPa and direction Y side D is 19.3 MPa, as well as tupe 50 houses with direction X dan Y with sides A, B, C, and D with 4.44 MPa, 4.86 MPa, 4.99 MPa, and 8.95 MPa, respectively. It is possible to use these outcomes fot the further studies.
