      Abstract
Hydraulic pump utilizes continuous impact energy from water. The energy from the collision is used to pump water, so the hydram pump does not require external energy. The fluid flow at the hydraulic pump needs to be analyzed to know the flow characteristics that occur. Therefore proper calculations are needed to avoid bad things happening. The right research method, one of which is a computing system or commonly known as Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD). CFD is very suitable for analyzing a system that is complicated and difficult to solve with manual calculations. This study was conducted to determine the flow phenomena that occur at the hydram pump with numerical simulations using academic ANSYS Fluent 19 R2 software. This simulation was carried out on a 3-dimensional hydraulic pump with an 8 inch tube diameter and 7.3 m long track. The delivery valve model used in the simulation in the form of a solid cylinder, the delivery valve movement is run using a profile. Simulation on transient conditions with layering dynamic mesh method. The fluid flow characteristics that occur in the hydraulic pump, the pressure contour that occurs is uneven. Pressure in the area of the pump body is higher than in the tube area, the difference in pressure is caused by the movement of the valve and different pipe diameters. flow velocity that occurs is very influential on the pressure produced, when the velocity of fluid flow in the hydram pump has a pressure increase which has decreased.
