      Abstract
      Facial anthropometry is used to describe facial proportion that affect the diagnosis and treatment plan of orthodontics and maxillofacial surgery. Facial proportion will be influenced by growth dan development there are difference between men and women. The difference ofupper and lower face height influenced by facial bone growth anf tooth eruption which follows the pattern of the body's growth rate. Leptoprosopic is a facial form commonly found in Javanese people. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of difference gender to upper and lower facial height on leptoprosopic facial form. The design of this study was observational analytic using a cross sectional approach. The population were dental student class of 2015, Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta 20-23 years old who had a leptoprosopic facial form. Total of subject are 30 people, chosen by the total sampling method. The results showed that upper facial height (60%) and lower facial height (40%) were greater in males than females in leptoprosopic facial form. This study was analyzed by Independent Sample T-test that compare the upper face height between men and women and lower facial height between men and women. The calculation results obtained p-value <0.05. The study concluded that there is evidence of statistically significant differences of the upper and lower face height. However, differences in facial height between male and female were found to be insignificant.
