      Abstract
      The surface area of porosity is one of the factors that influence the mechanical strength of dental material. Porosity is an air bubble or a very small hole found on the surface or inside a material. Tensile strength is one of the mechanical strengths that can be tested on a material. Good dental restoration is a restoration that has good mechanical strength. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between porosity surface areas with the tensile strength in the attachment of indirect veneer restorations. This study used a pure laboratory experimental method. The number of samples in this study is 4 samples. The data collection technique in this study was that each sample was observed porosity using a Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM), then tensile strength tests were carried out using Universal Testing Machine (UTM). The statistical test used is Pearson on normally distributed data. The results of this study indicate a significant relationship between differences in porosity surface area on the tensile strength of self-adhesive resin cement on the attachment of indirect veneer restoration with a value of p = 0.003 (p <0.05). Based on the results of these studies, it can be concluded that there is a relationship between porosity surface areas with the tensile strength of selfadhesive resin cement with the tensile strength of indirect veneer restorations
