      Abstract
In Indonesia, asphalt is an abundant natural resource. On flexible pavement, asphalt can harden in a long-term period. Therefore, adding additives such as latex is needed. Since it is elastic so that adding latex can improve the durability at high temperature, can prevent from cracking, permanent deformation, and can improve the quality of buton asphalt. In this research, the Marshall method was used by making a mixture of asphalt concrete-wearing course (AC-WC), using the asphalt penetration 60/70, and adding the latex. It was done to know the characteristic of Marshall in the mixture of AC-WC. Based on the result of the testing toward the used asphalt content 5% by adding latex content in variation of 0%, 3%, 5%, and 7% showed that the latex content of 7% fulfilled the standard specification of OBC with VMA 15.01%, VITM 3.16%, Flow 3%, VFA 85.73%, Stability 893.22 kg, MQ 373.348 kg/mm, and Density 2.38.
