Ultrasound (US) was first used in the evaluation of trauma patients in Europe in the 1970 by by kristensen and collegues¹,² in 1996, Rozycki and colleagues coined the term FAST (Focused Assesment of Sonography for Trauma), an acronym that has since persisted for trauma ultrasonographic evaluation.¹
