      Abstract
      The necessity of energy is increase from year to year, reward with the growth of the economic and transportation in Indonesia. The fuel has become main of energy sources in the transportation field, which are mainly fossil fuels, meanwhile the energy of the fossil is an unrenewable energy and the reserve of the fossil energy is slowly become rarefy. Due to the rarefy of the energy source’s problem, then The Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education conducts a Kontes Mobil Hemat Energi (KMHE) event to be oriented for all the University students in Indonesia with its purpose to design, to develop and to produce a vehicle which is saving more energy and eco-environmental. Based on that matter, a Lingsar Proto 3 car is the great solution for it. Lingsar Proto 3 car is a prototype car with aerodynamics designed and electric motor for the driving force on it. The making process is devided into several stages, obiter the making of chassis, the making of steering system, the making of driving force system and the making of its body. In the chassis, using a ladder frame type with aluminum hollow material with its dimension 40 x 20 x 1,5 mm to be connected through the welding process, whereas the composite material is using for the body material with adding the filler glass fiber and Lantor Coremat. At the process of the making of the body is applied with hand lay up methode. The results show that the Lingsar Proto 3 car has length of 267 cm, width of 84 cm and hight of 72 cm, while the whole weight of the car is 42 kg. This car use Brushless Direct Current (BLDC) electric motor of 1000 watt with 4 the Lithium Polimer of battery type of 12 volt for 4 batteries to be installed series connection with its capacity of 10.000 mAh. This car uses a single sprocket with a number of 24T front and rear teeth 28T and a maximum speed of 35 km / hr. The manufacturing process took time about 4,5 months with its costs of Rp 50.322.500.
