      Abstract
Water is one of the important elements for the daily life of living things. Indonesia is a tropical country whose rainfall in this country is quite high, but there are still some rural areas that have difficulty providing water. Hydram pump is one solution to this problem. This study was conducted to determine the flow phenomena that occur at the hydram pump with numerical simulations using academic ANSYS Fluent 19 R2 software. This simulation was carried out on a 3-dimensional hydraulic pump with an 8 inch tube diameter and 7.3 m long track. The delivery valve model used in the simulation in the form of a solid cylinder, the delivery valve movement is run using a profile. Simulation on transient conditions with layering dynamic mesh method. The results of this simulation show that the movement of the opening and closing delivery valves and waste valves, and the speed of the flow of water entering from the pelesat pipe greatly influence the pressure distribution in all parts of the hydraulic pump. The greatest average pressure when all valves are contained in plane 6 is 3747.74 Pa, when the fully open waste valve is at palne 6 is 706.253 Pa, and the delivery valve is open there is in plane 5 is 16834.3 Pa. Validation results on fluid velocity using calculations according to the experimental data results are 9,731 m / s while the numerical simulation results are 7,843 m / s. The pressure on the hydraulic pump in the calculation results is 90,637 Pa while using the numerical simulation the result is 89,855 Pa.
