Soliditas partai dan stabilitas perolehan suara: Konsolidasi Partai Keadilan Sejahtera pada Pemilihan Umum Legislatif 2014
Abstract
This paper discusses the solidity of the Islamist party, namely the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) which succeeded in defending the vote in the 2014 legislative election after the PKS President Lutfi Hasan Ishaaq was arrested by Indonesia’s Coruption Eradication Comission in the early of 2013 due to the case of beef bribery. The PKS earned 6.79 percent in the 2014 election which means it merely decreased in 1.09 percent from the previous election in 2009 which reached 7.88 percent. The purpose of this study is to find out the solidity of the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) in coping with the 2014 legislative election. It is qualitative research using online media news, KPU’s data, and relevant sources for data gathering. The result shows that PKS can maintain its solidity which is proven with a fourfold factor: The existence of procedural leadership, a well-managed conflict resolution mechanism, the systematic candidateship, and the strong commitment upon the values/ideology adopted together.
