PENGARUH METODE PEMBELAJARAN ROLE PLAY PENDIDIKAN TRIASE TERHADAP PENGETAHUAN DAN KETERAMPILAN KLINIS PADA MAHASISWA KEPERAWATAN
Abstract
Background: Triage is a decision making process to determine patient
priorities based on the severity and need for immediate treatment. The
speed and accuracy of triage assessment in emergency situations is
the challenge and responsibility of nurses in the emergency
department. The role play method is emphasized for use in academic
learning to prepare for clinical learning, including triage learning
Aim: To determine the effect of triage education role play learning
methods on students' clinical knowledge and skills
Method: This study uses a quasy experiment design with a
nonequivalent control group design. The population in this study was
the nursing students of semester VIII who were doing emergency
nursing practice (Pre Ners) nursing in Stikes Wira Husada
Yogyakarta by 60 students with sampling techniques using total
sampling.
Results: The average score of pre-test student knowledge was 51.5
while the post-test average score was 76.5. And the average score of
clinical skills was 52.86 while the average score of the post-test was
78.13.
Conclusion: The role play learning method in triage education can
influence an increase in clinical knowledge and skills in nursing
students
