Abstract
Conventional lecturer methods in a large-scale classes was challenging for teachers and students that only considered to improve the passive learning process and fail to motivate student. In Many research proved that student’s performance whom learn using the game based learning are significantly better than student who learn using conventional method. One of them is Kahoot!. This article probed student learning performance alteration in a different batches of large-scale classes after using Kahoot! quiz application.
This research used Non-control quasi-experimental pre-post test method with total sampling from students batch 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2018. Kahoot! score as pre-test data and final examination score which was taking from appropriate question with the lecture partner’s lecturer as post-test data. The data analysis method use a paired t-test followed by a Kruskall- walis test.
There was 563 students showing an effect of Kahoot! quiz application for the alteration of student learning performances. The highest average pre-post test score was 2018 batch with 63,59 and the lowest pre-post test score was 2016 batch 47,64. There was significantly relationship between student learning performance and batch of student.
