dc.description.abstractBackground : The use of the internet and social media reached by all ages. One of the negative impacts of using social media is cyberbullying or internet bullying. Cyberbullying as a predictor of low self esteem with the prevalence 22%-47% in the world. The objective of this study was to identify the prevalence of cyberbullying with low self esteem among adolescent. Method: The original article for Cohort and Cross-Sectional Study were retrieved from 6 databases (Scopus, Embase, Pubmed, SAGE, Jstor, and PsycNet in 1954-2020. using the following key-term (Adolescent OR Teenager OR Youth, AND Cyberbullying OR Internet Bullying, AND Low Self-Esteem). Reviewer evaluated the abstract identified using search criteria prior to full text review Result: there are 427 articles were identified in the electronic database after duplicate and exclusion removed. There are 8 studies fulfilled the inclusion criteria. The prevalence of cyberbullying in the included studies ranged from 22% to 47%. The other factor was reported to be associate with traditional bullying, bullies, victimization, and cyber sex harassment, low self-esteem, depression, anxiety, and peer rejection. Conclusion: This review presents important information about the prevalence of cyberbullying as a predictor of low self-esteem, suggestion that low self-esteem can be an outcome of cyberbullying among adolescent in school.
