REVITALISASI ORGANISASI PERGERAKAN MAHASISWA SEBAGAI ARTIKULATOR KEPENTINGAN MASYARAKAT DI DAERAH ISTIMEWA YOGYAKARTA
Abstract
The organization of the student movement in Indonesia has become an important actor in any change of the political regime. Meanwhile, the student movement was also able to hold the balance of executive power in the decision making process. The role of students in policy-making is as articulator of the people interests and also as controller of policy implementation by government. To carry out that role, the student movement typically use demonstrations.
This article is based on a research that aims to identify the pattern of articulation and the ability of the student movement activists in carrying out negotiation strategy as an alternative articulation of interest to the government. With qualitative methods and using primary and secondary data, we present the results of this research with a descriptive analysis of the patterns of interest articulation and negotiation.
With the results of our study, expected to be a reference for the revitalization of the student movement, especially in the interest articulation function.
