      Abstract
      UV sterilized and automatic liquid soap pump equipped hand dryer is a tool used for drying and sterilizing hands. In this tool, UV light is employed as a medium for sterilization. The UV light has the power intensity that is capable to kill bacteria, gems, and viruses. On the other hand, microcontroller is used to control overall system. Infared sensor is used to make UV sterilized and automatic liquid soap equipped hand dryer can be operated automatically. The principle work that is applied in this tool is when the sensor detect an object, the output voltage of the sensor will be processed in microcontroller to turn the dryer and the UV on for 20 seconds. Based on the infrared sensor voltage measurement, when the sensor detect an object at 4 cm distance, the measurement error obtained is 0,23% and when the object is at 10 cm distance, we got 0,23% measurement error. When the object is placed at 20 cm, the measurement error is about 1,1%. For the measurement of duration of dryer and UV, the obtained measurement error is 0,5% of 20 times total measurement. Based on conducted experiment, can be concluded that this tool is suitable for use due to the obtained error is still far from 2% od thresold limit.
