      Abstract
      A research aims to get the balance compost banana stems and NPK right in increased growth of teak nursery ( Tectona grandis ). The research was conducted at Green House and Laboratory studies of Agriculture Faculty, University Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta, December 2015 up to March 2016. This research was conducted with experiemental method of single factor in stacking the Completely Randomized Design (CRD), which consists of 5 treatments, i.e. Compost banana stems 30 ton/ha (P1), Compost banana steams 22,5 ton/ha + NPK 0,39 ton/ha (P2), Compost banana steams 20 ton/ha + NPK 0,78 ton/ha (P3), Compost banana steams 10 ton/ha + NPK 1,17 ton/ha (P4), and NPK 1,56 ton/ha. Every treatment was repeated 3 timesso obtained 15 units of treatment and every sample consists of 3 replicates and 2 spare plant so that its total 75 teak seeds. The results of this study showed that treatment Compost of banana steam 20 ton/ha + NPK 0,78 ton/ha the best result for the growth of teak nursery.
