The most important objective of this paper is to explain the UNDP program implemented in Gorontalo province in order to accelerate development in the area Gorontalo through international cooperation initiatives. International organizations such as the UNDP has a very important role in providing assistance to the countries or regions that are still evolving and continue to do the construction. In international cooperation is needed are several factors that the interests or the target areas to be achieved together. To explain the problems that are the focus of this research it is necessary to use the theory of international cooperation and development concept. In methodology, this study used qualitative data analysis techniques. While the technique of data usage through the interview method for primary data and literature study for secondary data. The results showed that the province of Gorontalo chosen as the implementation of UNDP program due to several factors such as the province of Gorontalo has the leading commodity in agriculture and continue to make economic development. Analysis of the research focused on improving the development of Gorontalo province after implementation of this program and how the province of Gorontalo can strengthen its role in the international community to continue to make new innovations in regional development
