dc.descriptionThis study aims to describe the process and implementation of empowerment program that have been done by KLM to information access to improve the community welfare, identifi the most influential program and obstacles faced in this implementation The objects of this study are (Kuwo in Sleman, one case in Turi which represents the developed and the other case in Gamping which represents the developing KLM, The purpase of the empowerment of KLM is how the empowerment runs well through the development process to the importance of information awareness, increase information access and ihfonnation empowerment through the group. From the data analysis, the community empowerment process is done throug several awareness (2) capacity (3) support (4) the action and implementation. 5) evaluation. Meanwhile, performing the programs done by KlM cover I) increasing information access media, 2) socialization, 3) participation in government activities, 4 opening the nenwork to the itutions agencies allied organisations comparative the 60 participating in exhibition, 70 gaining the capital 80 Conducting assistance, media report. Those activities, study: 10) Conducting formal meeting with the legislative commission, and 11) reduc and can be indeed, can give awareness to the community that information can buseful to running their business used to make the best decision immediaely. The community becomes more creative in activities can able to increase their welfare. acces The developed KIM has an easy access to information from various sources, has a capability to information, discuss, and implements in a variety of business activities so that it can improve the more with related institutions, has a wider business activities, has implementation programs, and has an ability to solve their own problemsen_US
