      Abstract
Phebitis is one of the HAIs “Hospital Acquired Infections” which causes decreasing the standard of living, functional disability, and emotional stress for the patient. Phlebitis itselves is an inflammation in intima vein due to complications of intravenous therapy (IV) in the hospital. This research aims to know the relationship between the obedience of the nurses to the SOP of infusion to the incidence of phlebitis in adult patients. Cross sectional conducted on 30 adult patients aged between 17-85 years old, from the first time attached infusion by observing the obedience of the nurses to the SOP of infusion, and then the patients observed until the last day in the hospital. Analysis of the data used is descriptive analytical to know the obedience of the nurses to the incidence of phlebitis. The result from this research is, nurses who obeys the SOP infusion are more than those who doesn’t, this is appropriate with the incidence of phlebitis that those whose affected phlebitis are lower than those who doesn’t. The nurses that didn’t obey the SOP are 9 person, and the patients who got phlebitis are 10 person. There is significant influence between nurses who obeys the rules of SOP and patients affected phlebitis
