      Abstract
      Schizophrenia is a severe mental disorders (psychotic) which interfere with the function of a person's life and reduce quality of life. Quality of life is a term that refers to the emotional, social and physical well-being of a person, as well as their ability to function in daily life. Research shows that the level of quality of life is affected by many factors, one of which is the sociodemographic factors. Sociodemographic factors that affect the quality of life of patients, among others: age, gender, occupation, marital status and education level. These studies are necessary to evaluate the relationship between demographic factors and quality of life of patients with schizophrenia. Methods: This study is observational analytic with cross-sectional design. Some 101 patients with schizophrenia who meet the inclusion and exclusion criteria were interviewed with a questionnaire of personal data and the quality of life was measured using the Lehman Quality of Life Questionnaire. Data were analyzed using correlation test Non-parametric Spearman Results: Based on the analysis of this study, there is a significant correlation between level of education and quality of life (p = 0.045), there is a significant correlation between Job status and quality of life (p = 0.000) danterdapat significant correlation between marital status and quality of life (p = 0.024). However, there is no correlation between gender and the quality of life of patients with schizophrenia (p = 0.754) nor is there a correlation between age and the quality of life of patients with schizophrenia (p = 0.727) Conclusion: There is a significant correlation between demographic factors such as education level of the subject, the subject Job status and marital status subject to the quality of life of patients with schizophrenia, but there is no significant correlation between demographic factors such as gender and age of the subject with the subject of quality of life of patients with schizophrenia
