      Abstract
      The rapid development of Information, Communication and Technologies (ICT) and web based application already developed in universities all around the world. And, blog is one of the example of web based application in the classroom. Moreover, ICT based class brings positive role in langauge teaching. The purpose of this research are to identifying students’ perception on bloging activity conducted in ICT online class and to explore the obstacles that students faced during blogging activity in ICT online class at EED of UMY. This research used descriptive qualitative research and data were collected by open ended interview. As the research participants, the researcher chose six students from batch 2012, 2013 and 2014 who ever got ICT online class and based on criteria. The criteria were made based on the students’ GPA level. The finding of this research includes the advantages and obstacles on blogging activity in ICT online class at EED UMY. Based on the result of this study, blogging activity has advantages for the students such as increasing students’ writting skills, improving students creativity and improving students’ knowledge. Then, feedbacks in blog motivate students in maintaining the blog. Blogging activities motivate students to be an autonomous learner. In the other hand, this research found some obstacles on blogging activity such as bad connectivity, low of grammar and vocabulary mastery, and difficult to construct students’ ideas to makes articles
