      Abstract
      Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) is a test of clinical skills to assess clinical performance, attitude and behavior in medical students, in the face of the patient. To obtain good exam results are influenced by many factors, one of them is emotional intelligence. Students who have a higher emotional intelligence will have a social relationship / interpersonal better and have more motivation in academic performance. The aim of this study is to determine the relation of emotional intelligence on the results of the OSCE in medical students from Muhammadiyah University of Yogyakarta. Methods: The design of this study was observational analytic study with cross-sectional. The population in this study is a medical student in Muhammadiyah University of Yogyakarta.in 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015 with a sample of 88 students. Emotional intelligence was measured using a questionnaire Emotional Intelligence Goleman with the total number of questions 55 items. Results: At the Spearman correlation test show that the value of p= 0,000, with a value of Spearman correlation r = 0.430 which indicates this study are significant and have a positive correlation values with moderate correlation. Conclusion: There is a significant relation between emotional intelligence on the results of the OSCE in medical students from Muhammadiyah University of Yogyakarta.
