      Abstract
Low Back Pain (LBP), is one of symptom which can reduce human productivity. The complaint, resulting in hearing the motion and function of the flexibility of the spine that results in disruption of daily activities. The prevalence of LBP in Indonesia is estimated in range between 7.6 to 37%. LBP is also one disease which is often found in neuro clinic at PKU Muhammadiyah Gamping Hospital. One option offered treatment is physiotherapy. Physiotherapy in patients with low back pain is aimed at reducing pain and the maintenance and restoration of range of motion and muscle strength. Physiotherapy is also useful to prevent or reduce recurrence, reduce to a minimum disability and restore functional ability as best as possible. Methods: Quasi-experimental (quasi-experimental design) approach with pretest and posttest control group design. This study divides the sample of LBP patients into two groups: the intervention group with the provision of physiotherapy and a control group that did not receive physiotherapy by the number of samples in each group of 31 people and adapted to the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Result: The results showed that there is a rise in the ADL (Activities of Daily Living) value significantly in the group which receiving physiotherapy (intervention), with a pretest mean of 86.67 ± 6.16 and posttest mean of 93.05 ± 4.35 (p <0, 05). In the control group has gained an increase in the value of ADL with a pretest mean of 86.25 ± 6.25 and posttest mean of 90.83 ± 4.85 (p> 0.05). The differences were statistically significant (p <0.05) between the end value of the intervention group than the control group. Conclusion: There is an increase in the value of ADL in both study groups, the intervention group had a statistically significant increase (p <0.05) and the control group had increase was not statistically significant (p> 0.05). It can be concluded that the use of physiotherapy in patients with LBP at PKU Muhammadiyah Gamping Hospital can increase the value of ADL.
