PERSEPSI KONSUMEN TERHADAP PERAN APOTEK SEBAGAI TEMPAT PELAYANAN INFORMASI OBAT DI KECAMATAN KETAPANG MADURA
Abstract
Drugstore is a means of pharmacy service where a pharmaceutical practice is conducted by pharmacists. Pharmacists have the greatest responsibility in the provision of drug information in the drugstores, to reduce irrational use of drug in society. This study aims to determine consumers perception of the role of pharmacies as a drug information service, the type of drug information that is needed as well as the degree of correspondence between consumers need and satisfaction in receiving drugs information service in Ketapang District of Madura.
The study was conducted by the method of direct research using a questionnaire along with explanation to the drugstore’s consumers. The sampels for drugstores are determined by using purposive sampling method and sample for consumers were determined by accidental sampling method. The data analysis was conducted on the frequency distribution, correspondence analysis with the linkert scale and Cartesian diagram to determine the order of priority of the improving factors that affect customer satisfaction. Data analysis was performed using SPSS 10.00
The results shows that the perception of the customer in terms of level of knowledge about the safe use of the drug was fairly high with an average score of 3.01. The role of phramacists and media utilization for drug information is fairly high with an average score of 3.21. While the appreciation of drug information is fair with the score of 2.30. The types of drug information that is needed by the consumers include efficacy, dose, method of use, frequency of use, time of use, duration of use, side effects, the use of other drugs that should be limited and avoided, storage, disposal of medicinal waste, and how to use drugs while pregnant or breastfeeding. The percentage of correspondence between expectations and customer satisfaction ranged between 80.05% - 99.02%
