      Abstract
In effort to meet the demands of domestic rice production, rice cultivation was done with technological innovation system of Rice Intensification (SRI). Snails (Pomacea canaliculata) is a major pest of rice crops at cultivating or during vegetative time. Snails control using salt solutions are very effective, but it have worried salt solutions would damage rice crops. The purpose of this research was to determine the concentration of salt solution which can control the snails and hopefully not giving negative impact to growth rate of the rice crop. The research was conducted using an experimental method that is arranged in a completely randomized design (CRD) by treatment with various concentrations of salt solution, there are: 0 ppm, 2000 ppm, 4000 ppm, 6000 ppm, 8000 ppm, and 10000 ppm, added a synthetic pesticide treatment carbofuran 3% as control. The results of this research showed that the salt concentration of 4000 ppm was effective increase on mortality, efficacy and death time. Salt solution to the concentration of 10000 ppm was not significantly effects on the growth of rice include height, number of leaves, number of tillers, leaf color, fresh weight and dry weight
