The adolescence called the transition from puberty to adulthood. The age of the adolescence there is a certain developmental tasks must be filled. Adolescent developmental task is a clue that allows one to understand and comprehend what is expected or demanded by other people and the environment against someone in their teens. In fulfillment of tasks of adolescent development requires the role of parents, especially fathers. Objective: The purpose of this study was to examines the relationship between the father's role on the fulfillment of tasks of adolescent development at MAN Yogyakarta I. Methodology: This type of study is non-experimental and cross sectional approach. The sample taken by random sampling of students of class X and class XI MAN Yogyakarta 1 as many as 91 students. This study was conducted in April 2016. The data were collected using a questionnaire. The statistical of this study was tested by using the Rank-Spearman with significance level of p <0.05. Result: The study showed that the adolescent developmental tasks most students 59 respondents (64.8%) in the category of enough. the father's role most of the 45 respondents (49.5%) in the category of good. Statistical analysis showed there is a relationship to the father's role in the fulfillment of tasks of adolescent development MAN Yogyakarta I with r = 0.692 and p = 0.000 (p <0.05). Conclusion: The adolescent which can carry out the task of the development of good will pass the adolescent years smoothly.
