In early 2016 Saudi Arabia cut diplomatic ties with Iran. This sudden decision make the international community stunned. The author believes thin is an intresting issue to be studied. The aim of this papper is to describe why Saudi Arabia cut diplomatic ties with Iran. This study uses qualitative analysis, wich the author tried to describe and explain the reason for the severance of diplomatic relations Saudi Arabia againts Iran. the data that author use comes from books, journals, documents, reports, and materials from internet. This study show that the are three aspects that influence Saudi Arabia in making decision to cut diplomatic ties with Iran. The first is the domestic polictics of Saudi Arabia; the second is the economic and military of Saudi Arabia; the third is the international context wich Saudi Arabia relate to. Thus, through this paper can be seen the reason for the severance of diplomatic relations Saudi Arabia againts Iran is because of these three aspect.
