Collaboration between Turkey and European Union in handling immigrants became a controversial cooperation for Turkey under Erdogan government. Erdogan based who are leader that makes Turkey’s foreign policy Islam oriented. When Syria conflict exploded in 2011, Syrian came out from their countries and became refugee in Middle East and European Union Countries. Turkey welcomed Syrian refugees with Open Door Diplomacy. This study will explain why Turkey under Erdogan Government approved the European Union collaboration in hadling the immigrant using the model of rational actor in order to calculate the benefit from the collaboration. The preliminary results of the research show that Turkey approved the collaboration because Turkey wanted European Union actualize three points in that cooperation. First, Turkey will take benefit from European Union to re-energise the accession process for full membership Turkey in European Union. Second, Turkey will take a benefit from the fulfilment of the visa liberalisation roadmap will be accelerated by European Union for Turkish citizen. Third, Turkey will take a benefit from the point that The EU and its Member States will work with Turkey in any joint endeavour to improve humanitarian conditions inside Syria, in particular in certain areas near the Turkish border.
