STRATEGI PENANGANAN PEMBIAYAAN BERMASALAH DI BMT EMAS PURBALINGGA
Abstract
This study aims to discover steps in identifying factors which caused financial problems, the factors which caused the financial problems and the coping strategies for financial problems at BMT Emas Purbalingga.
This study was a field research using qualitative descriptive approach. The data gathering methods were observation, in-depth interview and documentation. Moreover, this study was supported with primary and secondary data which were obtained from some literature related to the problems being discussed.
The result of the study showed that there were some steps in determining the factors which caused financial problem, first based on customer account activity, then the customer’s business and installment payment. The internal factors that caused financial problem was the officers’ carelessness when taking installments, funding recommendation from the internal party, and the weakness in financial analysis. The external factors included customers’ characters, and the customers’ decreasing ability to pay. The strategies used to handle the financial problems were rescheduling, reconditioning, restructuring and executing collateral warranties
