      Abstract
      Self medication is an action to choosing and using medicines such as traditional or modren medicine by someone to treath the disease or symtomp that can known alone. The aim of this research is to describe the knowledge of mother in Pojok Kidul village about self medication of fever. This research was observasional descriptive. Data taken through questionnaire and did an interview to 128 respondents through a cross sectional approach. Sample in this research was taken by purposive sampling. Data analyzed with descriptive analysis. The result showed that age of respondents who get more self medication is about 26-35 years old (27%). Diagnosis of fever such as use sense of touch about 69% and 31% use thermometer. About 53% respondents chose the combination that contains various drugs and 55% respondents got them in small shop. Tablet was dosage forms that most chosen about 92% and 8% was syrup. About 60% respondents who use syrup, consume it with tablespoon. Respondents who choose tablet, consume it three until four times daily about 87% and 82% consume it with swallowed. Respondents who still fever more than three days, they stop to consuming the drugs and checking up to the doctor. Respondents who store the drugs in original package about 97% and 3% respondents who use syrup store it in refrigerator.
