      Abstract
      This study aims to determine the forms of empowerment, things that support and obstacles in the process of empowerment and know the results of development activities undertaken by Muhammadiyah. Subjects in this study were assisted by members of MPM PP Muhammadiyah whose group belong to the period 2010-2015, namely members of the rickshaw, hawkers, Small Micro Industry (MSI) and Guyub Makmur. Sample of 76 respondents who are all members of group assisted belonging to the 2010-2015 period. The analysis tool used is qualitative and quantitative descriptive. The analysis shows that the forms of empowerment in poor communities such as: religious advocacy, health assistance, strengthening the group, training, socialization, provision of facilities and the provisions of means of assistance. The network of MPM, supported the empowerment process, from the central to the branches and twigs, also spirit of volunteerism and knowledge of the facilitator, MPM relationship with government agencies, universities, and other institutions as well as the support of other institution Muhammadiyah. While constraints in the empowerment of such a habit that members can’t be separated from middlemen, there are groups who lack awareness in large organization and sources of funds needed to carry out the program. Results from empowerment activities that changes to aspect of knowledge and skills can be said to be good, while a change in the aspect of attitude can be said to be sufficient.
