This research aims to know the role of BMT in increasing the prosperity of society in Cilacap regency. It was done by knowing the role and its effect both in business function and social function. The research was done using the qualitative method. The data collecting technique used observation, interview, and documentation. Then the collecting data were analyzed descriptively, so that it could explain the role of BMT in increasing the prosperity of society in Cilacap regency. The result of the research showed that BMT has well role in helping the increasing the prosperity of society. This can be shown by the two functions which give positive effects toward the society, such as income’s increasing, children’s education can be fulfilled, health care, that effected on the economical growth and it is effecting the prosperity realization.
