THE DIFFERENCE OF CATARACT SUBTYPE IN DIABETES MELLITUS AND NON DIABETES MELLITUS
Abstract
Background : cataract is considered a major cause of blindess. Incidence and progression of cataract is elevated in patients with diabetes mellitus. There are some types of cataract in difference conditional. In diabetes melltus, cortical type and subcapsularis posterior type are found. It caused by the accumulation of lens sorbitol in diabetic patients which causes osmotic stress, which later causes anextensive swelling and cataract formation of cortical lens ubers.
Objective : to know the difference of cataract subtype in diabetes mellitus and non diabetes mellitus.
