| dc.description.abstract | Organization in the broadest sense is a bunch of people who exchanged their thoughts and opinions to reach a single goal. The organization is a forum for students to develop a mindset in the organization and social life. The organization in demand by the students to deliver their talents, interests and abilities. A student who contributes in the organization will get more knowledge and it will help student to reach the academic achievement. This research is to analyze the relationship between students’ organization activities and academic achievements of medical student in the Medical and Health Sciences Faculty of Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta University.
Methods : This research method is using a cross-sectional design. A sample of 200 students, by means of using proportionate stratified random sampling. The data obtained is processed by spearman test. This research uses 2 measuring instruments named the relationship between students’ organization activities and academic achievements and students’ score results of total score value on the first semester for class of 2015 and the third semester for class of 2014.
Result : The students’ organization activities of the majority are in the good category. The organization activity of the student in the majority is in high category i.e. a total of 132 respondents (66,0%). The students’ academic achievements belong to very satisfaction category as many as 78 respondents (39,0%). From the result analysis, there is a relationship between students’ organization activities and academic achievements with the significance value of the result shows 0,000 (p = <0,05). | en_US |
