Japan and US build military relations since 1951 in Japan-US Security Treaty. Cooperations continue in 1978 and agreed Japan-US Defense Guidelines as guideline cooperation with right and obligation, also defensive cooperation mecanisem between Japan and US in defensive cooperation. In 1997, Japan and US agreed first revision of Japan-US Defense Guidelines when defensive cooperation mecanism both of states as bilateral defense cooperation. Then in 2015, Japan and US agreed second revision Japan-US Defense Guidelines. This revision about extending defense cooperation between Japan and US as collective security cooperation.
