      Abstract
Background: Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is a disease that is commonly found in tropical and sub-tropical areas, one of them is Indonesia. The method to prevent dengue cases can be done by controlling Aedes aegypti as a DHF’s vector that is mostly done by using a chemical insecticide, despite it has some side effects. Larvacides from plant extracts are safe for the environment, one of which is a Mahkota dewa containing flavonoid, saponin, and alkaloid that are toxic. Metode: This was an experimental study with post-test-only-control-group design, consist of 9 treatment groups (concentration 0,125%, 0,25%, 0,5%, 0,75%, 1%, 5%, 2%, 2.5%, 3%) and 2 control groups. Temephos 1 ppm as positive control and biological water as negative control. The sample was Aedes aegypti larvae on third instar in the number of 20 in each group with 3 times repetition and observed every four hours for 24 hours in each sample, then the death data of larvae were analyzed.. This research’s aims are to know the effectiveness, , , and extract of Mahkota Dewa as an Aedes aegypti larvicide. Result: Kruskall Wallis analysis got the value of p=<0,05, which means there were significant differences between the test group.Mann Whitney analysis result show that there no significant difference between temephos 1 ppm with concentration 2%, 2,5%, 3 %. There were significant differences between biological water with the treatment for all concentrations. Probit analysis got the result of = 1,363%, = 2,339%, =1,850 hours, and = 11,946 hours. Conclusion: The extract of Mahkota Dewa on Concentrations of 3%, 2,5%, 2% have the same effectiveness as temephos 1 ppm in killing Aedes aegypti larvae
