| dc.description | Osteoarthritis is a degenerative joint disease that causes pain, interferes
daily activities and reduces quality of life as well. In 2003, osteoarthritis had
become sixth leading cause of disability in the world, and is expected to rise to
fourth in 2020. The incidence of osteoarthritis is more common in women than
men and those at age over 50 years old. It happens because women at this age
had gone through menopause, thus causing hormonal factors (decreasing
estrogen) played a role in the incidence of osteoarthritis.
This study is non-experimental study with cross-sectional approach to
know the characteristics of osteoathritis genu radiology overview in
premenopausal and menopausal woman . The population in this study were
patients diagnosed with clinical osteoarthritis who come to Tidar Hospital,
Magelang City with 37 samples and use consecutive sampling as sampling
techniques.
Osteoarthritis genu is most prevalent in the age group above 60 years
(40.5%), then the age group 51-60 years (37.8%), and under 50 years old
(21.6%). In menopausal women, 9 patients (24,3%) were at grade 1 on the
Kellgren-Lawrence Index, 11 patients (29,7%) were at grade 2, 8 patients
(21,6%) were at grade 3, and 1 patient (2.7%) was at grade 4. While in
premenopausal woman, the grade of osteoarthritis genu only occured in grade 1
with 8 patients (21.6%). The contingency coefficient analysis result show that p
value 0.007 (<0.05), which means this study is significant and r = 495 which
shows the strenght of correlation is moderate.
There are significant differences in the characteristics in premenopausal
and menopausal women with radiological overview of osteoarthritis genu
according to Kellgren and Lawrence with p = 0.007 (<0.05), which means a
significant and r = 0.495 which shows the strength of the correlation is moderate. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | Osteoarthritis merupakan penyakit sendi degeneratif yang dapat
menyebabkan nyeri dan dapat mengganggu aktivitas kehidupan sehari-hari serta
mengurangi kualitas hidup. Tahun 2003, osteoarthritis merupakan penyebab
keenam terbanyak yang menyebabkan disabilitas di dunia, dan diperkirakan akan
meningkat menjadi peringkat keempat pada tahun 2020. Kejadian osteoarthritis
lebih banyak terjadi pada perempuan daripada laki-laki serta kelompok usia
terbanyak yang mengalami osteoarthritis adalah di atas 50 tahun. Hal ini terjadi
karena perempuan di atas 50 tahun sudah mengalami menopause sehingga faktor
hormonal (penurunan estrogen) turut berperan pada kejadian osteoarthritis.
Desain penelitian ini adalah non eksperimental dengan desain crosssectional
untuk mengetahui karakteriktik gambaran radiologi osteoarthritis genu
pada wanita premenopause dan menopause. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah
pasien yang terdiagnosis secara klinis osteoarthritis yang datang ke RSUD Tidar
Kota Magelang dengan jumlah 37 sampel dan consecutive sampling sebagai
teknik sampling.
Kejadian osteoarthritis genu paling banyak terjadi pada kelompok usia di
atas 60 tahun (40,5%), kemudian kelompok usia 51-60 tahun (37,8%), dan
kelompok di bawah 50 tahun (21,6%). Pada wanita menopause, 9 pasien (24,3%)
dikelompokkan ke dalam derajat 1 menurut Kellgren-Lawrence, kemudian 11
pasien (29,7%) dikelompokkan ke dalam derajat 2, 8 pasien derajat 3 (21,6%),
dan 1 pasien (2,7%) derajat 4. Sedangkan pada wanita premenopause derajat
osteoarthritis genu hanya terjadi pada derajat 1 sebanyak 8 pasien (21,6%). Hasil
analisis data dengan uji koefisien kontingensi didapatkan p value 0,007 (<0,05)
yang berarti penelitian ini bermakna dan nilai r = 0,495 yang menunjukkan
keeratan korelasi sedang. | en_US |
