The needs of the societies can not be separated from the food needs. One of the way to maintain the food needs in the housewifery is using the yard area. The urban agriculture has a narrow land, the government then has the program of food security to the housewifery with plant in the narrow land because most of the area in the city is narrow. Bausasran Village is located in the urban area. In the Bausasran Village, the farmers group using the narrow land to plant. This research aims to discover the farmers group activities, the participation of the farmers group and the factors that influence the participation. This research using the method of descriptive analysis. The respondent of this research is 40 respondent. The data analysis that had been using is the score analysis and the coefficient correlation Rank Spearman. The result of this research was known as the activities of the farmers group which are: saving and loan, exhibition or bazar and the using of yard area, the active participation in using the yard are the cultivation of medicinal plants, the utilization of horticultural crops, marketing, workshop, members meeting and groups mentoring. And for the less active participation are the cultivation of decorative plants, the catfish farming, the processing and packaging and also the decorative fish farming. The factors that influence the participation in optimize the utilization of the yard land are the liveliness internal factor in the group, the external factor is the group cosmopolitan. The relationship between the participation with the internal factor that significant is the liveliness in the groups and the achievement, in the external factor which significant is the cosmopolitan group to the activities.
