HUBUNGAN JUMLAH LEUKOSIT, TROMBOSIT DAN HEMAKTOKRIT DENGAN DERAJAT KLINIS DEMAM BERDARAH DENGUE (DBD) DI RSUD KOTA SALATIGA
Abstract
Background: Complete blood count is used to determine the clinical grade of Dengue
Hemorrhagic Fever. Blood test done to determine leukocyte count, thrombocyte count and
hematocrit levels.the result of complete blood count is expected to assist medical officers to deal
with Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever according to the clinical grade.
Aim: To determine the correlation beetwen leukocyte count, thrombocyte count and hematocrit
levels with clinical grade of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever.
Methods: This was cross sectional retrospective research. Samples were taken from medical
records of admitted to adult Dengue Hemorrhagic fever in Salatiga Hospital. Data that taken from
medical records were age, sex, leukocyte count, thrombocyte count, hematocrit levels and clinical
grade of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever according to WHO 2011 criteria. The statistical analysis
used descriptive and inferential analysis by using Rank Spearman correlation with SPSS computer
program.
Results: There are as many as 94 samples of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever patients in Salatiga
Hospital 2015. The analysis by spearman correlation found there was no significant correlation
beetwen leukocyte count with clinical grade of Dengue Hemorrhagic fever ( Sig= 0,124 ; >0,05
and rho = -0,160), a significant correlation beetwen thrombocyte count with clinical grade of
Dengue Hemorrhagic fever which means the lower the thrombocyte count the higher clinical
grade of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever ( Sig = 0,001 ; <0,05 and rho = -0,522**), no significant
correlation beetwen hematocrit levels with clinical grade of Dengue Hemorrhagic fever ( Sig =
0,369 ; >0,05 and rho = -0,094).
Conclusions: There was no significant correlation between leukocyte count with clinical grade of
, a significant correlation between thrombocyte count with clinical grade of Dengue Hemorrhagic
Fever so that the thrombocyte count may be considered to determine the clinical grade of Dengue
Hemorrhagic fever. There was no significant correlation between hematocrit levels with clinical
grade of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever
