| dc.description | Meskipun digadang-gadang sebagai era modern dan era kebebasan, nyatanya krisis kemanusiaan di berbagai belahan negara di dunia masih terjadi. Peperangan, kelaparan, penembakan, rasisme, diskriminasi, dan minimnya sarana pendidikan menjadi kenyataan pahit yang dialami oleh beberapa negara di dunia. Fenomena tersebut mengundang kemirisan para musisi dunia sehingga dituangkan ke dalam musik yang mereka ciptakan. Bukan hanya berdiri sebagai media hiburan, lagu yang diciptakan Black Eyed Peas berjudul Where Is The Love? dan lagu karya Alicia Keys berjudul We Are Here dipenuhi dengan konstruksi perdamaian dunia.
Tujuan penelitian untuk mengungkapkan konstruksi-konstruksi yang tersembunyi di dalam lirik dan video klip dua lagu tersebut. Kerangka literatur yang digunakan adalah musik dan video klip sebagai media komunikasi, teori semiotika Charles Sanders Peirce dan konsep perdamaian dunia.
Metode penelitian yang dipakai dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif dan dianalisa menggunakan teori semiotika Charles Sanders Peirce. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan terdapat tujuh sub bab konstruksi world peace pada lirik kedua lagu dan tujuh sub bab konstruksi world peace dalam kedua video klip lagu tersebut. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | Although the era of freedom is expected, it is real that humanity crisis is still going
on around the world. War, hunger, murder, racism, discrimination, and the lack of
education media are clear examples of unpleasant reality that underwent by some
nations. The condition seems to arouse some of the world musicians to produce music
that represents its phenomenon. Not only an entertainment media, famous two songs
entitle Where Is The Love? by Black Eyed Peas and We Are Here by Alicia Keys are
known fully constructed with the world peace.
The objective of this research is to reveal the hidden constructions within both of
the songs’ lyrics and video clips. The literature frameworks that are mentioned are
music and video clip as the communication media, semiotic theory of Charles Sanders
Peirce, and the world peace concept also.
The method used in this research is qualitative research and analyzed using the
semiotic theory of Charles Sanders Peirce. The result of this research shows at least
seven world peace sub-chapter constructions in both songs lyric and seven world peace
sub-chapter constructions in both video clips also. | en_US |
