| dc.description | The number of conflicts in the region of the Middle East has forced the natives of the Middle East to withdraw from their home countries and move to the nearest countries, it’s Europe. The immigrants chose to move to Europe because the distance from the middle eastern countries to Europe is very close. Due to the immense amount of immigrant flows, the European countries are overwhelmed by the immense number of immigrants. One of the most accepting European countries of immigrant influx is the Germany, but with the large number of incoming immigrants makes pros and cons in society. Immigrants from the Middle East evoke a negative image and increase Islamophobia in the Germany region and beyond. The negative image of German society towards immigrants is getting stronger with the social movement "PEGIDA" campaigning against Islam and demanding to change the policy on the issue of immigrants in Germany. "PEGIDA" was originally a facebook group with hundreds of followers but after "PEGIDA" a demonstration on the streets of German cities made their followers into thousands. Angela Merkel and the religious leaders in Germany strongly condemn what has been done "PEGIDA" in the German cities, because the actions of "PEGIDA" themselves impressed hatred against a certain group that reduced the level of tolerance of German society to the comer. Angela Merkel invites German society to be more intelligent and increase tolerance to the immigrants in order to create multiculturalism in Germany. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | Banyaknya konflik yang berada di wilayah timur tengah membuat para penduduk asli timur tengah terpaksa keluar dari negara asal mereka dan berpindah ke negara – negara terdekat yakni eropa. Para imigran memilih berpindah ke eropa karena jarak dari negara – negara timur tengah ke eropa sangat berdekatan. Karena jumlah arus imigran yang sangat banyak menyebabkan negara – negara eropa mengalami kewalahan dalam menangani jumlah imigran yang sangat banyak. Salah satu negara eropa yang paling banyak menerima arus masuknya imigran adalah negara Jerman, namun dengan banyaknya jumlah imigran yang masuk mengundang pro dan kontra dalam masyarakat. Para immigran yang berasal dari timur tengah menimbulkan image negatif dan meningkatkan islamophobia di kawasan Jerman dan sekitarnya. Image negatif masyarakat jerman terhadap para immigran semakin kuat dengan adanya gerakan sosial “PEGIDA” yang mengampanyekan anti islam dan menuntut untuk mengubah kebijakan dalam isu imigran di Jerman. “PEGIDA” sendiri awalnya merupakan sebuah grup facebook dengan pengikut yang berjumlah ratusan namun setelah “PEGIDA” melakukan aksi demonstrasi di jalan kota – kota Jerman membuat para pengikut mereka menjadi ribuan. Angela Merkel serta para petinggi agama di Jerman mengecam keras atas apa yang telah dilakukan “PEGIDA” di kota – kota Jerman, sebab aksi – aksi yang dilakukan oleh “PEGIDA” sendiri berkesan menebarkan kebencian terhadap suatu golongan tertentu sehingga mengurangi tingkat toleransi masyarakat Jerman terhadap para pendatang. Angela Merkel mengajak masyarakat Jerman untuk bersikap lebih pintar dan meningkatkan toleransi terhadap para pendatang agar terciptanya paham multikulturalisme di Jerman. | en_US |
